Dear God,

pepper-ish:

I pray to You in a humbled and broken heart. The news everywhere, You know it too well. From Egypt to Australia to Bahrain to Libya and New Zealand, I trust that You have divine purposes for allowing the things happening. Whatever it may be, God, I hold on to Your promise of never leaving and never forsaking us.

God, what is happening in New Zealand? Do You hear the trapped man calling for help under the collapsed building? Do You hear the children in Libya praying for peace and for the gun fires to stop? God, You see them all. You know how terrified their hearts are. I humbly ask You to take the fear creeping in their souls. In times like this, let Your light continue to shine from the darkness of hopelessness they are in. Let Your love give them the comfort and assurance that You are in control.

In this chaos, may the people see that all we need is You. Every government may fall, every building may collapse, but You will remain standing, Jesus. Open the eyes of the people to the salvation that only You can bring.

In this raging storm of anger and pride, I declare peace. I declare freedom. I declare salvation in JESUS’ name!

God, rescue them.

With a hopeful heart,

Ish

Dear God,

All-powerful God, hear Your children as we call out Your name. We need You to rescue us.

We come before Your presence to pray for our fellows in Libya and New Zealand where Your people is greatly troubled. Merciful God, listen to the cries of Your children. Jesus, come to the hearts of those who are lost. With Your eyes looking down here on earth, You see all what’s happening and You may not like it too. Forgive those people who don’t show mercy to their neighbors.

Lord, we pray for the rescuers in New Zealand. Guide them all with Your wisdom so that they may find people who are trapped in the collapsed buildings. Give them perseverance, Lord. We pray that they will not lose hope in looking for the trapped people. Bless their hearts that they will not lose patience to save the life of their neighbor.

Lord, we pray for those who are trapped in the collapsed buildings, who are still surviving for the moment. Be at their side, Lord. Don’t let them lose their hope that they will be found by the rescuers. Listen to their cries, merciful God. Give them patience. Give them the strength to endure everything that’s happening on them now.

Lord, have mercy on the people in Libya. Many has already lost their lives because of this chaos between the leader and the protestants. Inoccent people have been killed. And it’s heartbreaking to know, that these people still don’t stop, like they aren’t concern about the lives of other people who were killed and will be killed in this event. And for the leader who don’t show mercy, who has decided to fight ‘till the last drop of blood, forgive him for he has been blinded by power here on earth, power that is useless without love. They need You, God.

Lord, we pray for the people in Libya. Guide them all with Your love. You know very well what’s happening there. And it has been made clear in the Bible that You don’t play favorites. If this will bring You the glory, God, then let Your will be done! Jesus, we ask You to bring peace to this nation. God, show them how powerful You are! We trust in Your good heart, God.

Lord, we pray for all nations. Protesters come out. Hatred is spreading all over. This world is getting more cruel. Jesus, we ask for Your hand to heal us all. Take away the hatred from our hearts. And for those who have already this big heart for You, use them all to spread love, to fight against hatred. Let Your love conquer this world through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and through those who have received Him. God, guide all Your people with Your love. Really, show this world how powerful You are.

Lord, we cast all our anxieties to You. You are a powerful God. For You, nothing is impossible. We will be faithful in our prayers. We will be faithful in Your decision. Let these heartbreaking events end in Your time for Your time is perfect.

All these things we ask, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Drop Your Prayers

Dear God,

As a blessed child of Yours, I pray for the unprivileged children. Those children who are on the streets, who do not have a permanent shelter to live, who can not eat three times a day often and risk their lives just to beg money from strangers. Even though they lack the basic necessities of living, may they still see the blessings they receive from You. Albeit they don’t have much of the earthly things, may they be abundant in Your love for them and love from their family and people who dedicated their lives in volunteerism. May they experience Your gift of undeserved grace.

And yes, I pray for those individuals who dedicated some of their time in charity. May they not lose their patience and may You strengthen their kind hearts so nothing impossible can’t be done!

Last year, Haiti was shaken by an earthquake. This year, it is Australia being troubled by flood. I pray for these people who might be losing their hopes now. I pray that they find hope in You — that You are with them and You can’t do anything that might harm them. May the calamity lead them to the opportunity of strengthening their faith on You. Lord, I had once been threatened by flood but it is by Your grace that I was saved and until now, I still have days to live. Merciful God, have mercy on them. And for the people who had lost their loved ones, may they find comfort in Your shoulders. May they seek You for it is only You who can help them the most at this time.

This I pray, in Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.

Praying for grief and loss

God of hope, I come to you in shock and grief and confusion of heart..Lord wipe away every tear that they have.Let love fill their hearts as they go through this loss of a friend, loved one, student, classmate, daughter and a child of God that was lost today. Release the tension bottling up inside me and others and grant me freedom from pain and new life in healing with each tear that is shed. Each teardrop of pain is precious in Your sight, O Lord. Comfort those that mourn and feel helpless.

In your name we pray, Amen.

Drop Your Prayers

Dear Jesus,

Conquer my heart everyday. Let You be my very first and final thought for the day. Let You be my first priority above all earthly things. Lead me to the place where You want me to be.

You are my light in the darkness. Your Word matters the most. You never fail to turn my tears into darkness and that’s what make me love You more. You alone is my hope, my light, my strength and my song.

Come to me, Lord Jesus, as I feel so empty these past few days for the ones I’ve considered as my friends hurt my feelings so bad. Fill my heart, it’s empty and frail. Make me whole again Lord, mend my broken soul. Allow me to experience Your most amazing grace!

Thank You for being there always. Thank You for protecting me. Thank You, Jesus, for You are my all in all.

Amen.

Family Unity

Prayer for unity - Father, I thank you for blessing me with my family. I ask you to bring us into unity through You. I ask that anything that is hidden in darkness - to cause disunity - will be brought to light. I ask You to lead us into Your perfect truth and help us to be the family You intend us to be. Lord, help us to be a blessing to one another and to others. Reveal Yourself to us and let us come into agreement with You. Lead us in Your ways. Grant us compassionate hearts, fill us with Your love that does not keep records of wrong, and bring joy to our hearts when we think of one another. Bring Your perfect peace and unity into our family. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Drop Your Prayers

Help me Lord to develop a real honest list of my bad habits and then guide me to replace them with good ones that bring You glory. I know that the journey to break these habits might be hard, but You are there to help me through. In my weakness I am made strong in You. I just want to turn to You today and turn away from the things that bring me down. Amen. :’)

Drop Your Prayers

Dear God,

I am taking what the devil meant for harm and in JESUS’ name I’m turning it into good. I speak to my anger and frustration and say to them, “Bow your knees to Jesus.” Lord help me to contain my frustration to only a moment so that it doesn’t pull me down for a season. I trust that You have my destiny in Your hand, Lord.

Amen.

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
